Meta engineering teams have identified the root cause of the media download issue impacting both Android and iOS clients on v2.47.x. They are currently deploying the fix and the expected deployment time is in 24 hours.

Meta has communicated that they are currently experiencing some disruption impacting media download sent using WhatsApp OnPremise API on end user devices. This issue started on July 11th, 2023 at 10AM UTC. Meta engineering teams are investigating the issue. We will provide another update within 4 hours or sooner if additional information is available.
